После школы проходил срочную службу в армии, участвовал в Первой чеченской войне, был ранен. Затем работал строителем.

В рамках войны с Украиной первоначально был разведчиком, затем сменил специализацию. Был ранен в середине декабря, попал в госпиталь в Подольск. Месяц врачи пытались спасти Алексея, но не смогли. Скончался 12 января 2023 года.
